Pila is a one-of-a-kind restaurant. In addition to serving traditional German dishes, the space is decorated with authentic objects from East Germany—including uniforms, flags, household appliances, and even a motorcycle—making it feel like a small private museum. Many of its regular customers are former citizens of the German Democratic Republic (GDR), adding to the nostalgic atmosphere.

Filipe has a degree in Advertising, works as a software developer in Germany, and is the creator of O Guia Nativo. The idea for a website offering non-touristic tips came about in 2014 but only became a reality in 2019.
