The so-called "Creative Quarter" of Dublin stretches from Great George's Street to Exchequer Street, Wicklow Street, South William Street, and Suffolk Street. Many of the cafés, restaurants, markets, and galleries are located in buildings that date back 250 years. Therefore, walking through it is also like stepping into the city's history.

For example, in the Creative Quarter is George’s Street Arcade. Originally South City Market, this was Dublin's first Victorian shopping center, opened in 1881. Despite a fire in 1892, it was reopened in 1894 and still retains its original style. Although not very large, the market houses over 40 independent stores, including retro boutiques and cafés.

To the south is Market Bar. Once a sausage warehouse that supplied George’s Street Arcade,, this place is now a tapas bar with a unique twist. Although the food isn't very traditional, the portions are delicious and generous. At night, the bar gets crowded, so we recommend visiting during lunchtime, when you can sit comfortably and admire the space.

Another attraction in the quarter is the Powerscourt Centre. Much larger and more luxurious than the Arcade, Powerscourt features beautiful Georgian architecture from 1741.
