Open since 1880 and located near the famous Trinity College, Doyle’s draws a lot of attention for its large facade. However, the pub gained widespread fame for the Ruby Sessions, which take place once a week.
For the past 20 years, every Tuesday, the pub’s lower floor hosts four performances. The Ruby Sessions are very intimate and feature emerging local and international artists. Ed Sheeran, Mumford and Sons, Damien Rice, George Ezra, and many other currently famous musicians have performed here. Entry costs around €10
The shows start at 9 p.m., but there is only space for about 90 people, and tickets are usually sold online on the Sunday before. So, don’t waste any time and get yours!
