Relatively close to the touristy Terreiro do Paço is Trobadores, a tavern that spares no effort to transport you to the medieval period. With armor, swords, and other typical decorations adorning the walls, meals are served on plates and cups that look like they came straight out of the Middle Ages. In fact, you can even drink your beverage directly from a horn.
The menu focuses on beers and tapas, especially sandwiches. However, that doesn’t mean you’ll leave hungry, as the portions are generous and absolutely delicious.
With a bit of luck, you might catch a folk music show at Trobadores. It’s impossible not to feel like a bohemian in medieval Lisbon.
