Founded in 2013, the F. Volcheka bakery (Булочные Ф. Вольчека) now has over 90 locations across St. Petersburg. However, don’t think that this makes it any less special: each bakery offers a wide variety of delicious, handmade products at extremely low prices.

If you love sweets as much as the Russians do, you’ll be tempted by the wide range of national treats, such as medovik and Napoleon cakes, as well as international options like éclairs and macarons. That said, the savory items are also worth your attention, so don’t miss out on trying them.
F. Volcheka Nº 60 is probably the most “touristy” of all the chain’s bakeries, as it’s located on Nevsky Prospekt. However, this doesn’t mean it’s worse or more expensive – it just tends to be busier. Even so, it’s a great stop for a bite to eat before or after exploring the city center.
