Although located on the bustling Rubinstein Street, Orthodox Bar is slightly hidden. To find it, you need to walk through a tunnel decorated with images of famous Russians, such as the writer Dostoevsky and the poet Blok, until you reach an inner courtyard.

The bar is small, but it’s a paradise for cocktail enthusiasts. The drinks are highly varied and “recommended” by national personalities. For example, composer Tchaikovsky might suggest “The Sleeping Beauty,” a cocktail made with pumpkin, chamomile liqueur, and Russian champagne. Blok, on the other hand, would likely prefer “The Streetlight,” made with buckwheat vodka, rye whiskey, smoked syrup, and apple bitters. Exotic, isn’t it?

For those who aren’t into cocktails, Orthodox Bar might not seem worth it. The drinks are small and expensive, ranging from ₽590to ₽800. However, if you enjoy exploring new flavors and atmospheres and don’t mind spending a little extra, this spot is well worth a visit.
