Sala Equis: a former adult cinema that became one of Madrid’s most unique spots

From the outside, Sala Equis might look like just another cinema. However, step inside, and you’ll find yourself in one of Madrid’s most unique spots.
Once home to the city's last adult cinema, Cine Alba, this space has been transformed into a popular gathering place for Madrileños. Anyone, even those not planning to watch a movie, can come in to enjoy food and drinks at the bar’s tables and tribune seating.
Beyond its beautiful decor, Sala Equis features a large screen where classic films are projected (without sound). On special occasions, there’s also live music.
Food and drink prices at Equis are slightly above average, but not excessively so—and the venue’s atmosphere makes it well worth the visit. You can check out the menu at this link.
Sala Equis is located near Tirso de Molina station.
